Today we are doing a pictogram just to mix things up a little bit. Let me know in the poll below if I should keep doing these on Fridays to add some variety to the 💊Daily Pill, or if you prefer I stick with the traditional medical term definitions.

Ten leading cancer types for the estimated new cancer cases by sex, United States, 2023. Estimates are rounded to the nearest 10, and cases exclude basal cell and squamous cell skin cancers and in situ carcinoma except urinary bladder. Ranking is based on modeled projections and may differ from the most recent observed data.

Cancer is one of 4 horsemen of the apocalypse 🐎💀 - The four things most likely to kill us: Cancer, cardiovascular disease, metabolic disease, and neurodegenerative disorders.

Now that you know cancer incidence rates, you can check your family medical history, and if there are any patterns, you should bring them up to your PCP so they can start looking into preventive/screening measures. Cancer is one of those things you want to catch early. Trust me on this one.
