First and foremost I want all of you to know from the bottom of my heart that putting this self-assessment tool together was a royal pain in the ass, so you better use it. โค๏ธ
Thanks for supporting the Level Up Substack. I wanted to celebrate my 50th post by giving you (my first subscribers) free access to the Level Up self-assessment tool - which allows you visualize the current state of your hardware across 8 different categories: The 8 Pillars of Health. I developed this tool based on the main principles I laid out in this original post: The 10 Pillars of Health: What Every Busy Professional Needs to Know.
โWhy Did I Build This Self-Assessment Tool?
Good question. Because there is only one of me and many of you - and it is becoming increasingly difficult to give all of you the personalized attention you deserve. I donโt like that. I want you to live longer and better lives so we can hang out more and keep training together for many years to come. Im slowly taking my Substack to the next level(s), and along with my posts, this self-assessment tool is my way of showing you the door that leads to a better version of you. Now you just need to kick it open and walk through it.
Remember: Your health is your responsibility. You canโt improve what you donโt measure. Information is power. And the first step to improving your own situation -regardless of where you find yourself at the present moment, is to figure out where you are. Plus, you know, data is cool.
(The second step after you have your data is to educate yourself on how to improve all categories - hopefully with the help of yours truly and the Level Up Substackโฆ And the third step would be to execute an improvement plan. But lets not get ahead of ourselves. Weโll get to that later.)
๐ฐFull Disclosure:
I plan to charge for this assessment in the very near future, but since Im feeling all jolly and fuzzy inside for having written my first 50 posts and you have all supported Level Up from the beginning, Im giving you free access for the next 10 days - It only takes 5 minutes to complete.
Once you finish your self-assessment, you will receive a twenty-something page report with detailed scores and personalized tips on how to improve each category based on your current status and level of knowledge. The PDF report will look something like this but longer:
You can access the self-assessment tool by clicking on the image above, or by clicking here.
The Most Important Part:
Please share this self assessment tool with everyone you care about so they can start improving their health as well (free for the next 10 days for them too).
Maybe you have a friend that should really start hitting the gym, or a family member that is on a downward spiral and needs to take better care of themselves, or maybe you know someone who is getting ready to compete and needs to fine tune their systemโฆ Either way, this self-assessment tool is the best place to start, trust me. Just copy the url once you open the link and email/text it to people. But do it first yourself so you can see how helpful it is.
I leave you with a quote from Dr. Attia:
If you want to be able to kick ass at 80, you canโt be average at 50.
Happy assessment!
- Dr. Ric
At some point I will ask a couple of you for an honest testimonial/feedback about the app and ways to improve it. You can leave a comment or DM me if you want to/can help on this end.
